Our casting
Hey there, I'm Aisling.
Your friendly neighbourhood casting director with over a decade of experience in the entertainment business as a whole. Now a proud member of the CDA, I’ve previously dipped my toes in various areas, soaking up insights into fair and open casting practices along the way.

What gets me buzzing about casting? It's the thrill of the hunt for that perfect face, unearthing raw talent and providing a platform for actors to do what they do best. My mission? To breathe life into a director's vision, turning their ideas into vibrant reality.

You might've caught my work in TVCs, music vids, commercials, live events, short and feature films.

What does a Casting Director do?Casting directors find talent for roles in film, television, theatre, and commercial work. They negotiate terms, manage a casting budget, and coordinate and hold auditions. Casting directors play an essential role in entertainment, including television shows, films, commercials, theatre, and videos. They work to find the best talent for every part while staying within the casting budget. They typically don't make the final decision on who's cast (that falls to the director and producers), but they provide a shortlist of candidates for consideration.

What does CBA Casting specialise in?We specialise in creative casting, whether that’s thinking outside the box in terms of looks, gender or ethnicity, or just redefining what it means to be a casting director. We don’t like rules.
-
Do you have "books"?No, each job is completely cast from scratch and we do not keep people on an agency basis.
-
How can I get noticed? You are welcome to email over your information at any time and it will always be read and considered. Alternatively, you can drop us a message on our Instagram and keep in touch there.

What services do you offer an actor? As a former performer, Aisling understands the struggles and uncertainty of being a working actor and can often offer constructive advice. If you’re interested in booking an in person or online 1-1 session to discuss where you could improve, get in touch.

What do I need to start out?First and foremost, you’ll need professional headshots and some sort of online profile. Mandy, Backstage and Starnow are all good starting points until you qualify for Spotlight.
